The house had been prepped before the raising party with roof reinforcements,
mounting brackets installed, and David Coale helped with the wiring on the Friday
before. |

Here are seven of the ten primary helpers wiring up a panel of six
modules. From left to right: Arthur, Neil, David, Otmar, John, Chris, and Will. |

The panels were then lifted up the back side of the roof. Many hands
make light work! |

Getting the panels down the front side was a trick because the brackets
are sharp, could damage the panels and there is no room to walk around a panel when
it is in place. We used 2 x 6 boards to slide the panels into place. When they were
in place we turned the boards to lower the panels onto the brackets. |

With the third panel on the roof, we needed to reach underneath and
connect the prewired panels to the main wires going to the fuse combiner box. On
the right in this picture are Robert (in black) and Cuno who somehow avoided the
camera at other times :-) |

The last panel went in smoothly despite the lack of maneuvering room
around it. |

A victory pose as the last panel has dropped into place. |

A couple arrows on the house meter makes it easy to tell when we are
selling power back to the utility. |
